Rory specializes in working with individuals living with depression, anxiety, trauma-related issues, stress, and mood disorders. She values providing a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment for individuals navigating their mental and emotional health. Rory utilizes Psychiatric-Facility Dog, WRIGHT, to ground clients to the present moment, provide a nonjudgmental atmosphere, and ease anxiety and stress.

Rory (she/her) is an LGBTQIA+ allied, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate who uses a strengths-based approach to provide an open therapeutic space for all clients to feel empowered. She utilizes various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Animal Assisted Therapy, mindfulness practices, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to tailor a client’s treatment plan to fit their individual needs. Rory’s experience includes assessing and counseling clients from diverse backgrounds ages 6+, including individuals living with serious and persistent mental illnesses. She provides therapy to clients dealing with stressors from life transitions, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, trauma-related issues, and mood disorders. 

Rory grew up in North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work. She would describe herself as adventurous, empathetic, and passionate. She enjoys going on hikes with Psychiatric- Facility Dog, WRIGHT, playing guitar and humming a tune, volunteering in the community, and spending time with family. WRIGHT is an outgoing, loving Golden Retriever who appreciates cuddling, swimming in the ocean, eating tasty treats, and making new friends.
