Reonetta Holliman, MA, LCMHCA, is trained and experienced in counseling couples, families, and individuals working through mental health concerns, including but not limited to relationship challenges, unhealthy family dynamics, unresolved trauma, depression, grief and loss, anxiety, and stress. Reonetta also has experience in school-based counseling, assisting children and adolescents with academic, family, and other age-related concerns.
Reonetta does not believe in a “one size fits all” approach to counseling. She utilizes an integrative method, employing various counseling theories and techniques to customize a treatment plan as unique as the client. Reonetta’s holistic approach emphasizes the importance of getting to know each client and the multiple aspects of their current life, past, and hopes for the future that have guided their beliefs and decisions until today. Reonetta heavily draws on cognitive-behavioral techniques to assist individuals in identifying negative thinking that has contributed to maladaptive feelings and behaviors while guiding them in exploring actions and circumstances that have supported a pathway toward their goals.
Reonetta is a native of North Carolina. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She went on to earn a Master of Arts from Liberty University in Marriage and Family Therapy. In her spare time, Reonetta enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and practicing self-care.
