Acknowledge, Process and Accept Worksheet
Why This Worksheet
Ever wonder why we aren’t able to move past situations? Most times we haven’t acknowledged, processed and accepted the situation. The Acknowledge, Process and Accept worksheet is designed to help you do just that. The worksheet has poignant questions that will help you consider your experiences in a unique manner. Before we are able to go through, we must first sit and reflect.
Anxiety, depression and relationship issues are just a few reasons to use this sheet. This worksheet is intended to be used over and over. Also, share it, copy and hand it out to whoever could benefit from this. This worksheet is to help you with moving past areas where you may be stuck or where you have resided for longer than necessary or comfortable. Many time we are stuck because we have not found a useful way to process events.
Take a specific example of a life event or challenge and apply it the sheet. With identifying feelings, be sure to be brief as feelings are one word such as happy, upset, confused or angry. If you find yourself wanting to provide an explanation, for the sake of the worksheet it’s considered a thought. Primary emotions are what you felt immediately and the secondary emotion is what you felt soon after the initial feeling. A not on feeling, feelings can be conflicting as it is possible to be both relieved and sad.
For a guideline, see example below on how to complete the sheet.
