Danielle Dawkins is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in North Carolina. Danielle received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Hampton University in Virginia and her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
Danielle’s clinical experience includes working with youth and families with a range of mental health diagnosis, as well as working with adults with substance abuse issues since 2010. Danielle is a certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and has extensive history in working with youth that have experienced different forms of trauma. Danielle has worked in outpatient, residential treatment facilities, in the school systems as a mental health therapist working with individuals with emotional and behavioral disorders.
Danielle is passionate about working with individuals of all ages and races as she establishes genuine relationships as a mental health provider. Danielle believes in empowering the individual so that they can make better choices towards their future. Danielle’s therapeutic approach consists of an eclectic style as each individual client has different needs. Danielle understands that each client has individual needs and her therapeutic approach consists of an eclectic combination of best practices.
When not working, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband, trying different restaurants in the Queen City and taking walks with her dog, Stella.
