I founded Kaleidoscope Counseling in 2011 with the intention of providing individualized, empathic and eclectic care in an aesthetically pleasing environment. In the Charlotte, NC area, I am known for providing couples counseling and helping people with a variety of anxiety and depression related issues. I help couples recover from affairs, improve communication, co-parent and rekindle lost connection. In addition to relationship counseling, I enjoy working with people dealing with long-term patterns of dysfunction in their family, problems from childhood affecting relationships or work, parents managing life demands, managing transitions and traumatic issues such as abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment.
My eclectic approach to counseling incorporates elements of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, narrative, acceptance and commitment, emotionally focused and positive therapy approaches. My holistic style includes teaching how mind, body, and spirit connectedness is key to overall change and positive living.
I am licensed as a clinical social work in North Carolina. I earned my Masters of Social Work from Wayne State University with additional training in working with couples. For 10 years, I’ve counseled people who want to improve their overall functioning. Outside of work I love traveling to the beach, Destin, FL is my favorite so far. I love trying new restaurants, Terrence Cafe, Viva Chicken and Kick Stand, are the ones I visit frequently. Most importantly, I love to garden.
True change takes place when the pain of staying the same is greater than changing. ~Unknown
